Beaker Tongs, Stephanie Sciamanna, Block 1

Beaker tongs are used to transport a beaker without having the beaker come in contact with your hands. This is to prevent possible burns from a heated beaker and to prevent possible injuries by dangerous chemicals being spillt on your hands from the beaker.
